March Madness continues at the Annual D3 Community Outreach Charity Game on Friday, March 22, 2012 as D3 Community Outreach current and alumni participants take on the officers of the Durham and Raleigh Sheriff’s departments. This you don’t want to miss!
The game is full of excitement and is the kickoff to fundraising for our Youth Empowerment and College Tour that is free to youth.
The college tour takes 50 participants on college visits along the East Coast in August. D3 understands the importance of education in career, economic and social mobility for disconnected youth and thus host the D3 Charity Game as a great kick off to our college tour fundraiser.
The game is a family event so come out and have a great time on Friday, March 22, 2013. Bring plenty of friends because this is an event you don’t want to miss!
Registration is not needed and the event is FREE, donations for the college tour will be accepted.
Come out and support D3 at our On the Green for D3 Golf Tournament and fundraiser. Funds from this tournament will go towards programming for our Achievers Program and our C.O.R.E. Program. Please visit our programs page for more information about these dynamic programs.

Beyond the Baseline” Charity Basketball Game
D3 Community Outreach, a 501(c)3 organization based in Durham, North Carolina will kick-off our annual fundraising campaign with the “Beyond the Baseline” Charity Basketball Game!!!
Our organization builds on the potential of youth and young adults to achieve success. This Charity Basketball Game will serve as a key fundraising initiative to yield the funds necessary to support D3 Community Outreach’s programming. All of our organization’s programming is free and geared toward increasing youth access to educational and employable opportunities with the intent on eliminating the need for risky behaviors and barriers. Such examples of these barriers are, but not limited to, exiting high school early for various reasons, not attending institutions of higher education and/or feeling confined by the environment in which they live.
Beyond the Baseline is symbolic of the number of ways in which D3 Community Outreach goes above & beyond to support local youth and young adults within our community. Engaging students in activities such as sports, allows us to meet them were they are and empower them to enhance their skills on the court and their life…Beyond the Baseline.
Along with raising funds for the organization’s programming, the Charity Basketball Game is a family friendly event full of entertainment, hospitality, networking and fun!
Our mission is to be an organization of positive adults who empower and encourage disconnected youth/young adults through academics, service, entrepreneurship and athletics to become leaders and good stewards of the community.

You are invited to put your culinary skills to the test at D3’s Bull City Cook Off & Cook Out!!! You think you have the winning recipe to beat your fellow contestants? If so, you can register for any of the three categories that will be judged on flavor, aroma, texture and originality in a blind taste test. Prizes awarded for first, second and third place based on registration. All proceeds raised during the Cook off & Cook out will help support academic programming at D3 Community Outreach. Bring the heat and come hungry, as this is destined to become a tradition in the Durham community!!!

Why a Debutante Ball? First, a Debutante is a young lady who has achieved mastery in the 4 goal areas set forth at the beginning of the F.L.Y. program. The Ball will not only be used to introduce deserving and outstanding young ladies as Debutantes to Durham society in a formal setting but it will also serve as a culmination of achievement for the young ladies of F.L.Y.. The F. L. Y. Annual Debutante Ball, at the conclusion of the 4th program year; will recognize the accomplishments of these young ladies in the Durham Area who have demonstrated superior academic excellence, exemplary moral standards and are actively engaged in their local communities.
Being a participant in a Debutante Program is a great honor and those who make the 4 year commitment will set the stage for them to be successful in their endeavors, serve as role models to their peers and become future leaders in their communities.
